Ed Cooke is well known and respected by many of our members and is a recognised expert in critical IT infrastructure (data centres and fibre) and cloud with more than 15 years experience in the industry.  Ed has helped clients finance, procure and deliver complex IT projects, real estate developments and energy/telecoms infrastructure.  He also acts for data centre operators, negotiating co-location and related agreements with customers for demands ranging in size from a single rack to a whole data hall.  He has detailed knowledge of the regulations affecting the data centre sector.  Ed is based in London, although he frequently work on projects internationally.  He works on projects, large and small, the largest having a value of £12 bn (total project value).  He works for a range of clients in the data centre sector - from some of the largest operators in the world, to some of the sector’s new entrants. 

Ed has been awarded a number of awards for his work with the data centre sector, including in the Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom, and Global Law Experts.   His team has been shortlisted for a Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Award.  Ed is the founder of Conexus Law (https://conexuslaw.com), which is dedicated to providing legal advice and resources to the data centre sector.
