24th January 2022 – EkkoSense has announced that its powerful DCIM-class real-time monitoring, visualization and analytics software now supports the Packet Power family of wireless power and environmental monitors. Data center operators have already deployed over 100,000 Packet Power wireless sensors across their critical facilities, and will now be able to take advantage of EkkoSense’s AI-powered data center optimization solution.
The combination of Packet Power sensors and EkkoSoft Critical software will provide data center teams with real-time visibility of data center cooling, power and capacity performance across all their critical facilities. EkkoSoft Critical features Cooling Advisor, a unique, machine learning powered module that helps organizations keep their critical facilities thermally optimized. Operations teams have full visibility to the real-time performance of the data center and are provided with data backed instruction sets that allow them to address issues, lower risks and operated more efficiently.
“Monitoring temperature, relative humidity and differential pressure has become a significant and rapidly growing part of Packet Power's business, with environmental monitoring sales to data centers doubling in 2021,” commented Packet Power’s CEO, Steve VanTassel. “However, as a leading provider of wireless monitoring solutions for data centers, we recognize that we can only be effective if our customers can take the hundreds of thousands of data points we measure each day and turn them into actionable insights. Integrating with an innovative software optimization solution such as EkkoSense delivers exactly this kind of value for our data center customers.”
“Packet Power has a great reputation in the data center monitoring space, and we’re delighted that our EkkoSoft Critical 3D visualization and real-time analytics optimization software now supports Packet Power’s wireless environmental monitors,” added Tracy Collins, Vice President of Sales, Americas. “Organizations that have deployed Packet Power monitoring can now take advantage of EkkoSoft Critical’s powerful machine learning capability to take optimization to the next level. The result is an optimization platform that is easy for operations teams to use and understand, letting them visualize airflow management improvements, manage complex capacity decisions, and quickly uncover any worrying trends in cooling performance.”
EkkoSoft Critical software delivers an average 30% cooling energy saving, significantly reducing cooling equipment capex investment requirements and delivering a valuable contribution to corporate NetZero commitments through sustained carbon usage reductions in the data center. The EkkoSense solution provides an attractive business case as it enables true real-time M&E Capacity Planning for power, cooling and space - at a fraction of the cost of more expensive and complex DCIM solutions.
