Host in Ireland President to Present Opening Keynote and Chair Strategic Stream at DataCentres Ireland 2018

DUBLIN – 15 November, 2018 – Host in Ireland, a strategic global initiative created to promote both the benefits of hosting digital assets in Ireland as well as Irish companies that are designing, building and operating data centres globally, announces today that its Founder and President, Garry Connolly, will speak at DataCentres Ireland, taking place  20-21 November 2018 in Dublin, Ireland.

In addition to acting as Chair for the conference’s Strategic Stream, Mr. Connolly will have several other features in this year’s event lineup. His first appearance will be to present the event’s opening keynote, titled “Setting the Scene: Ireland in the International Community.” The keynote will explore Ireland’s place in the global realm of telecommunications and beyond.

The second feature will be as moderator for a panel discussion titled “Colocation in Ireland.” In this panel, Mr. Connolly will be joining a group of leading industry experts to discuss the most recent ideas, practices and case studies within the Irish data centre sector. He will also speak at the event’s closing remarks ceremony and moderate the closing session. In the past, Mr. Connolly was the winner of the Think Global Forum 2017 Community award and continues to provide leadership at the award-winning Host in Ireland initiative.

Host in Ireland's premier partners - Tanya Duncan, Managing Director of Interxion Ireland, Mark Acton, Head of Data Centre Technical Consulting of CBRE, David McAuley, Founder and CEO of Bitpower, Alex Sharp, Senior Managing Director, Head of Project Management and Construction of CBRE, Valerie Walsh, SVP Commercial and Portfolio Management of Digital Realty and Gary Watson, Country Manager of Keppel Data Centres - will also be speaking on various panels at the event.
