CNet Training Launches Hands-on Electrical Installation Testing Training Program in Partnership with Fluke Networks

CNet Training Launches Hands-on Electrical Installation Testing Training Program in Partnership with Fluke Networks

Global leading provider of technical education for the digital infrastructure industry (network cabling and data centre sectors), CNet Training, is strengthening its existing partnership with Fluke Networks, the world leader in the manufacture of compact, professional electronic test and measurement tools and software, by launching a new electrical installation and appliance testing training program.

The one-day program, which is delivered at CNet’s dedicated training facility in Bury St Edmunds (Suffolk, UK) or onsite at a customer’s premises, will equip learners with the skills and knowledge to test electrical installations ensuring that they are safe and guaranteed to work, and to document legal compliance with the BS 7671 standard, demonstrating quality and good workmanship. The program utilises the latest Fluke equipment to enable participants to carry out practical exercises in a hands-on environment so that they can apply this new knowledge immediately in the workplace.

The number of highly knowledgeable and experienced electrical installation test technicians in the UK has seen a significant decline in recent years. Factors such as experienced staff approaching retirement age and being replaced by technicians learning their trade, as well as the increased deployment of temporary workers, mean that training and skills development are more important than ever before.

Working in partnership, CNet and Fluke are providing businesses with an opportunity to address these challenges and offer operators the action-based learning needed to acquire the skills and knowledge to work accurately and safely. The training also enables businesses to prove that installations have been carried out safely and comply with industry regulations and standards, reassuring all parties and demonstrating quality.

Certifying staff with this program also boosts productivity, as better trained and more knowledgeable installation testers can execute jobs right first time, therefore minimising downtime risks and, as a result, cutting costs.

CNet and Fluke have worked in partnership for over 20 years, united in their commitment to deliver the highest quality technical education programs using the latest equipment Fluke has to offer, giving learners in the UK the best technical education experience possible with the high-quality, professional equipment.

Robert Luijten, Field Marketing Manager at Fluke EMEA, says: “Testing and troubleshooting in the electrical sector are absolutely essential but recruiting technical people can be difficult. That’s why here at Fluke we are keen to support companies in their onboarding and employee development activities. Whether for compliance, safety or efficiency reasons, we believe this electrical installation test training course will put companies in a stronger position to face the increasing demands of testing in today’s world.”

Matthew Hawkins, Director of Sales at CNet Training added, “This program provides a valuable opportunity for businesses and individuals to gain vital hands-on training that can be applied immediately in the workplace. Strengthening our longstanding partnership with Fluke Networks and offering this program enables us to set a benchmark that is respected across the industry and demanded by professionals who aspire to achieve a consistent level of excellence.”
