Business Critical Solutions (BCS) Launches 2022 Apprenticeship Programme

Business Critical Solutions (BCS) Launches 2022 Apprenticeship Programme

These are exciting, yet challenging times in the industry, as we move away from the direct disruption of the Covid 19 pandemic into bow wave of supply shortages of materials and labour plus hyperinflation and the ongoing sustainability and efficiency drive.  Business Critical Solutions (BCS), the specialist business dedicated to optimising digital infrastructure across the globe, has started recruiting for this year’s apprenticeship programme.

This is the fourth year of the programme, which is run in partnership with Southbank University and is part of the company’s commitment to helping to tackle the well-documented skills shortage in the engineering and Data Centre sector.  BCS will be on the lookout for future Data Centre professionals and leaders and is hoping yet again this year to attract top candidates.  As part of BCS long-term growth strategy the programme this year has been extended to include the following course: BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management.  This course enables BCS to broaden its search and further strengthen the Project Management offering within the business.  BCS also continues to offer the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying course.

Chris Coward, Head of Project Management at BCS, said: “We are delighted to continue and extend our partnership with Southbank University and are excited to launch this new opportunity with the new BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management course now on offer. This course opens up prospects to a larger pool of candidates.  The skills shortage in the industry is still very real and this new opportunity goes some way to plugging the gap”.

Once chosen the successful candidates will be involved in every aspect of the BCS business, which provides a full range of services solely within the business critical and technical real estate environments, working across the entire client portfolio supporting and learning from the experienced team.  This will include getting to see first-hand hyper-scale construction projects from the blueprint stages right through to the delivery and is designed to support any apprenticeship study requirements.

James Carmillet, Head of Cost Management at BCS said: “At BCS we are extremely proud of the success of our apprenticeship programme, those who are accepted onto this programme can be assured of receiving a rigorous education in construction and engineering that has been carefully developed by the BCS senior management team.  The programme is directly focused on the work successful applicants will be undertaking as a member of the BCS team”.
